Kellogg’s Cereals Recalled

Kellogg’s cereal products affected by the product recall were distributed nationwide – throughout the United States. No Kellogg’s cereal products in Canada have been recalled at this time.

Only Kellogg’s cereal products carrying the letters “KN” (after the “Better if Used Before Date”) are included in the recall. Products listing the letters “KM” (after the “Better if Used Before Date”) are not included in the recall.

Why did Kellogg’s issue the cereal recall?

A strange flavoring and odor have been detected in samples of these cereals, probably coming from the wax liners inside the cereal boxes.

Although these products are unlikely to cause serious health problems, certain individuals may suffer such temporary symptoms as diarrhea and nausea from consuming affected cereal products.

Kellogg’s will offer replacement products for the recalled cereals. Customers may call the Kellogg Consumer Response Center at 888-801-4163 from 8 am to 8 pm Eastern time.
